Business Days Calculator

Count working days between two dates or add/subtract business days from a date, with support for custom holidays.

Holidays (Optional)

How It Works

Count Days Mode

Counts the number of working days (typically Monday through Friday) between two dates. Weekend days and any holidays you specify are excluded from the count.

Formula: Business Days = Total Days − Weekend Days − Holidays

Add / Subtract Days Mode

Starting from a given date, moves forward or backward by the specified number of business days, skipping weekends and holidays. Useful for calculating deadlines and due dates.

How to Use
  1. Select a start date and end date (Count mode) or a start date and number of days (Add/Subtract mode)
  2. Choose whether to include start and end dates in the count
  3. Select which days to exclude (Saturdays/Sundays)
  4. Optionally add custom holidays or load presets (US/UK)
  5. Click "Calculate" to see results
Options Explained
  • Include start/end date: Choose whether the first and last days count toward the total
  • Exclude Saturdays/Sundays: Uncheck if your business operates on weekends
  • Custom Holidays: Add specific dates to exclude (e.g., national holidays)
  • Holiday Presets: Quickly load common US or UK public holidays for the current year
Common Uses
  • Project deadline estimation and timeline planning
  • Delivery date calculations for business shipments
  • Contract and legal deadline compliance
  • Employee leave and vacation day accounting
  • SLA (Service Level Agreement) tracking
  • Plan work schedules and deadlines
Tips
  • Standard business days are Monday through Friday in most countries
  • Use the holiday presets to quickly load common public holidays
  • Holidays that fall on weekends are automatically excluded from the holiday count
  • The calculation shows both gross days and net business days
